Engagements

Planning your wedding starts with a feeling. Is your dream day casual and relaxed? Is it elegant and extravagant? A black tie barbecue? The dance party of the decade? Visualizing your event starts with your engagement photos!

Your engagement photos can capture who you two are as a couple and let you share your energy with your family and friends. Engagement sessions are some of my favorites because we have a chance to just have fun!

Sometimes couples tell me they are “awkward in front of the camera”. To that, I say, perfect. Be awkward with your person. Laugh at each other, joke, dance, have a staring contest — the moments when you aren’t posing for the camera make for some of the best photos!

Proposals

If you’ve never followed a couple around a park waiting for one of them to pop the question while ninja-ing around to remain inconspicuous, I highly recommend it. Surprise proposals are incredible to capture — having a record of this once-in-a-lifetime moment is absolutely priceless.

For surprise proposal sessions, I schedule a consultation with the proposer to discuss their plan and ensure that everything goes smoothly. I have a list full of excuses to dress up you can use to keep things on the DL.

Proposals can be followed by a photoshoot if you’d like, or I can skedaddle after the big moment if you’d like to bask in the proposal afterglow without a camera! Let me know what your dream proposal looks like, and we’ll make it happen.
